Joseph Clarke son of Joseph Clarke

The only document is a marriage certificate from 1943.It states age at 29, father as above and address 137 Kings Road,Kingstanding,Birmingham. How would I go about finding his information either before or after the event.There are about half a dozen that fit the bill in the area and more beyond.Another 'clue' might be that an Irene Clarke was a witness.
What would be the way to go here to trace the correct man? Of course,I can't be sure of his age/d-o-b as his bride had shaved a few years off and I understand this was usual not just for women.

Any help or advice anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.Many thanks.

Thankyou for the welcome and reply,I've seen the one at Bradmore Grove but that would make him 20 in 1943,I guess it's possible.I realise I have asked the impossible,that is to know which Joseph Clarke is the right one out of what must be hundreds.
