Thomason/Thompson Brick Wall
« on: Thursday 03 January 19 20:07 GMT (UK) »
Evening,

im not sure if this is the correct place for this but im looking for guidance in were to look to knock down a couple of brick walls.

Im looking to find out what happened to my great great grandfather Robert Thomason. He was born in 1850/1 to Thomas Thomason and Mary Rimmer in North Meols, Lancashire. He pops up on the 1851 census, but cant be found until 1871.

He marries Alice Ball in 1872 and they have several children in the next few years. However apart from being mentioned on the children's baptism records, im struggling to find him. In 1881 his is in the census as a lodger in Southport and I think in 1891 he is in Keighley as a Widowed lodger.

The 1891 census entry is a an Thompson. However his wife is still alive back in southport as an Widow.

The brick wall comes in the fact that I cant find a death record for him and in 1891 he is with a child I cant identify.

Sorry if that is hard to read, im sat on a train trying to remember all the details  :o.

Thanks in advance

Angie

I think you are correct with his occupation Tailor
