Hi, I wonder if someone could help me please. One of my relations Yvonne Grace New b. 1928 at Bankstown NSW, believed to have married in 1949 to Kenneth Taylor. I have just ascertained that Yvonne (Bonny) died in 2004. The only information I can find on her life, is that she could have reverted to her maiden name, and lived at 9 Bevan Street, Northmead, working as an Inspector in 1977 census.
If anyone can assist, would really appreciate to know whether she had children, maybe she divorced.

Have you confirmed that 1949 marriage ... it should have first hand information provided by the bride about herself and her parents
NSW BDM online index gives it as 3 January 1949, registered Granville district, and NO second name for the bride or groom.

Kenneth TAYLOR and Yvonne NEW.
https://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/family-history-research/family-history-research-nsw.aspxWhen the NSW Supreme Court transferred some of the NSW divorce files across to NSW Archives, they culled some of the contents, including at times the actual NSW BDM certificates that were still within the closed access period at that time... So it may well be that the divorced file may and may not have the formal proof of a marriage. Also, those divorce files can actually be NOT divorce files at all, but just a formal in camera hearing prior to a formal judicial separation, and formal agreement re child maintenance/access .... these are all under the authority of the NSW Supreme Court ... the Federal Family Court was not established until after the federal legislation re no fault divorce of the 1970s ...
