Ronald Desmond Stack of Lathom nr Ormskirk, Lancs

Hi again folks,

I wonder if someone can assist me with this man. He was killed 1 July 1944 while flying with the RAF.

From the CWGC I have nothing as no family or hometown is given. https://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/2321051/stack,-ronald-desmond/

But from a document found in the file of the Canadian airman in this crew I have his next of kin as " (mother) Mrs. M. Stack, 4 Square Land, Lathom nr. Ormskirk, Lancs"

FreeBMD has a Ronald D. Stack born Launceston, March 1925 Qtr. Mother's maiden name is given as Stack

Can anybody tell me about Sgt Ronald Desmond Stack and his family?

I think that’s Square Lane, ?

Mrs Stack was certainly there in 1940, but I can’t find no 4 or any other even numbers in the 1939. Only the odd no’s and house names. 

I attach clipping from 19 September 1940 - Ormskirk Advertiser - Ormskirk, Lancashire,
Of a list of names including  Mrs Stack,  from Square Lane giving donations.  I’m working my way through but if someone else finds it first......

ADDED - cancel that, she was there I think, but NOT there in 1939. A different address in Ormskirk

I cannot see a STACK/STACK marriage at all.

I think the parents must be John Wilfred Stack and his wife Margaret. They are in the electoral registers in Cornwall in 1924-5 (at Higherland which is 10 miles south of Launceston) and then at Pygons Hill in Lydiate, Lancashire in 1927-8.
