Photo for Dating please - Possibly my Bell family Australia 1800s?
« on: Friday 04 January 19 03:54 GMT (UK) »
Can you please date the attached photo? It was part of my Bell family ancestry (I believe). The Bells were miners who arrived in Ballarat Victoria Australia in 1856 from Northumberland. Thank you..Rob

Sorry - unable to help with a date but something appears rather strange with his feet.

They're obscured by the "rocks" and he appears to be leaning against the chair and supporting himself with the umbrella....

or maybe I'm reading too much into a great picture  ???
