Photo for dating please - Thames boat trip.
« on: Friday 04 January 19 11:37 GMT (UK) »
This picture is in our local collection. It may be a Womens Institute outing. Could it be from 1947? I had thought earlier, but have found something in the records which points to 1947.

The Salters steamers site says the boat was built in 1923, and still sailing, but the date, well we need a fashion expert ;D

My best guess is circa 1950, so it could be 1947.

I'm leaning towards the 50s which came to mind before I saw Any answers. I don't see any 40s fashion there but I could be wrong.

Thanks for your thoughts - it looks as if I can assume it was the 1947 outing.
