Harrison Isaiah or Issac
« on: Friday 04 January 19 23:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Could the  following boys names be the same person?

Birth is correct for Isaiah Harrison 1808 Wrexham son of Jonathan and Catherine

The name shows as below on some transcripts

Isiac
Isaiah
Issac

I found a death but that's an Isaac Harrison 1846 Wrexham

The 1841 census for Wrexham were destroyed for some areas which doesn't help...

I am struggling to find a marriage

Any help appreciated
Fiona

GRO   https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp   shows the death
Isaac Harrison 80 yrs 1846 Wrexham
So it doesn’t look like the one born 1808.

With regards to spellings, there were some who couldn’t spell their own name; some who couldn’t spell others’ names and, if transcripts,  some who couldn’t read the writing  :)

You would need to bear it in mind when comparing.

In your first post, you have variations of the name so I thought you had him on various records. :-\
He could have died in infancy.
