Williams Family Mystery
« on: Saturday 05 January 19 18:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi!
I'm here hoping that someone could help me out with a mystery our family has always wondered about.
My stepfather doesn't know anything regarding his fathers past.
His dad Edward Williams burned all of his personal documents when he was quite young. We know he sent a letter to the Naturalization branch of the Canadian government in 1940 asking for information about Carl or Edward Williams, which he was not able to obtain.
He Married Pearl Temple in Powell River, BC in 1941 and on that record he says hes German, and both his parents Karl Williams and Louise Kebert are both German as well.
I can't find any information to confirm this information in any way.
I know its really not much but we're kind of at a loss at this point.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hopefully, he was in Canada in 1940 when the National Registration was done.  Since he has been deceased for 20 years, and you can provide proof of same, you can ask for a search of the registration records for him:
