My search goes on for my great grandmothers family. Mary Jospephine who was born out of wedlock in Tipperary 14 April 1899 in the workhouse. Her mother Margaret. Her father John Fraser of whom very little was known. Rumour passed down is that he was Scottish. Searching through the census of 1901 in the area I can find only one John Fraser, born in Scotland who was a Presbyterian, A landowner and married with children. I suppose we will never know for sure if this is our john but it would be amazing if anyone with a family connection could confirm.
Margaret Looby was born in Liverpool in 1875 to John Looby and Mary Slattery. John died aged 40 in 1876 so Mary along with the children returned to Ireland soon after. It would be wonderful if i could go further back on this family line. Any help is much appreciated.  8)
