Maybe a connection, maybe not, but just today I indexed a Death Notice in Cairns Post, attached.

As earlier family has been documented in Queensland, this person (Dale Morelle, presumably female) may be part of the descendant family of this unusual surname?
At least, you could keep it 'just in case'.
