Burial/cremation of Charles Henry Woodhams
« on: Sunday 06 January 19 11:51 GMT (UK) »
Charles Henry Woodhams, my paternal grandfather, was born 11/10/1869 in Croydon. He married Rosetta Maud Willmott 22/12/1895,  Rosetta died 10/1/1929 and is buried in Nunhead cemetery.  Charles married Ethel Winifred Wood 26/11/1938 in St. Paul's church, S.E.17  The marriage certificate states that Ethel was a spinster aged 40 but according to an aunt, always a reliable source of information, Ethel had a son.  Following a quarrel Charles committed suicide 21.1.1939 at his home in Salisbury Buildings, Victory Place S.E.17.  An inquest was held 25/1/1939 and the death registered 26/1/1939.  Despite trying all the obvious locations I've been totally unable to find details of Charles' burial/cremation - please can anyone offer any help?
