HADDOW family of Douglas Lanarkshire later Hamilton Lanarkshire

Looking for some help please off my friends at Rootschat.

John Haddow born in Douglas Dec 13 1767. Married Jane Campbell around 1787 - Cant find a death for her anywhere and would like to establish if Campbell is infact her maiden name. Dont have parents for her either.

They had at least 6 kids

Cunninghame Haddow  - DIED AGED 61 NO INFORMATION ON HER
Agnes HADDOW - MARRIED JOHN JACK
Elizabeth Haddow - MARRIED DAVID MCDONALD
Catherine Haddow - MARRIED ALEXANDER WATERSTON - DON'T NEED ANY INFO ON HER
James Haddow - MARRIED MARY CAMERON - NO INFO NEEDED
David HADDOW - KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HIM

Can anyone help or at least start me off please

According to Cuninghame's christening record and death in the index  on Scotlands People Campbell was Jane's maiden name
Also her death is indexed under Johnstone which would indicate a marriage but not seeing one so far
You can download the death cert which will give you more info from Scotland's People

there is a marriage between a John Haddow and Jane Campbell in Stevenston in 1787 where Cuninghame was born
If this is your family looks like they had a few more children all born Srevenston

Agnes b 1799 died young
Agnes b 1803

Thanks for this help. I can now see I have had 2 families mixed together as one was in Ayshire and the other in Douglas at the same time.

My John Haddow married Jane Semple not Jane Campbell as I first through ...
