Marriage was 1879 surname Ellen

In 1881 Eva is with Joseph & Louisa Baughan under surname Baughan

It looks as though Alice was married to an Ellen not an Elen. Does the 1879 marriage give the father's first names, which might help to confirm this?

They definitely seem to be a family of Ellens not Elens, so I think I can eliminate them from my search for Elens. Thank you!

Very strange, if the right person, but George Ellen, the husband of Alice in 1881, seems to be on the subsequent censuses with different wives, and with Alice's son, Frederick, in 1891.

Alice's second marriage seems to have been a red herring. As George's surname is always spelled Ellen, it is doubtful he has any connection to the Elen family.
