His father is Henry McDonald, a gardener
Mother Janette Purtid Or Puntid  -  not a name I am familiar with.

Mary Kershaw’s  Father is Abraham, he’s a storekeeper
Mother Jane Cuthbert

Purtid seems to be a Slovakian name.

Do you think perhaps the last name is Purdie? There is a Purdy middle name further down the track on my family tree.. It just.. doesn't look like Purdie to me. Would be interesting if it was Slovakian though! :D

Partick is a good British name as well as being an alternative spelling of Patrick
