Lost Sites

I have been browsing bookmarks on a seldom used computer of mine, looking at sites I have not accessed for a while.
While I was at it I came across a site created by a person who died in 2016 Leo van de Pass, his site is a wonderful historic resource that has been saved mainly by the work of Ian Fettes.

Do other forum members know of other similar sites saved after the authors death bby others or even by being indexed on the internet archive/wayback machine.

Back in about 2003 I came across a site called Drew's Scottish genealogy and ancestor search which I found very useful for Fife and Scotland generally.
Like you I bookmarked it but could not find the site a few years later.
Thanks to another rootschatter, I found that some of the site has been put on the web archive, link below.

The Wayback Machine is a digital archive which contains all sorts of stuff.  One that I use fairly regularly is Roy Long's Cosford Database which is invaluable for people like me who have Suffolk roots.

Wish I could access even an ARCHIVED version of the North Meols Family History Forum - it underwent some sort of "refreshment" a year or so back, and even though I'd been registered on it, quite simply can't get it ... there's supposed to be a link, but it always times out, and the only way to get in contact appears to be via facebook!! Grrr!
I'd found some good information there, and even been able to help a few others, but can't even look at the forum now.
Is that progress?
