Died in Brainerd , 1885

I have this man who died in America, he was brought back to Wales to be buried on the "City of Rome"
 I`ve been trying to find any reports , but not finding US newspapers , or any other details that might help.
I`ve also been searching for him on passenger lists without any success.  His wife was Florence.

Can anyone help please.

Have you seen the William O Thomas Death Account Wrexham Advertiser 30th May 1885 - on anc tree ?

Were they were still in Wales in 1881 Tan Y Pigin Corwen Merionethshire.

Florence Thomas Age 24 born Wrexham, Denbighshire.

Yes, that's them in 1881, they were married that year.  I have got the burial report in Wrexham. 
Are these newspapers free to search. I can never seem to find them.
