Can anyone find Noah Cox and Ann Partridge's marriage?
« on: Wednesday 09 January 19 20:39 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I have the following marriage for Noah Cox (1757-1816) and Ann Partridge, but not the actual proof of records but wondering if anyone on here would be able to find this marriage that took place at St Mary's, Oldswinford, Stourbridge, Worcestershire on 31 July 1779?

31 July 1779 • Old Swinford, Worcester, England
From Family Search:- Ann Partridge Marriage 31 JUL 1779 Old Swinford, Worcester, England

It will be very much appreciated.

I cant even find the record that you specify.
Which dataset was it in?
All census look up transcriptions are Crown Copyright http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

Sorry, I'm not clear re dataset?

I came across  the below as it is on FamilySearch: -

Ann Partridge
Deceased
MN95-364
Marriage
31 JUL 1779
Old Swinford,Worcester,England

Would the "MN95-364" help?

Glad to know I’m not the only one.

Are you able to just post a link to where you see it on Family Search?

It is from an old IGI patron submission.

Bishop's Transcripts marriages are only indexed on FamilySearch from 1786 and to view the microfilm for earlier marriages you have access it at a Family History Centre.

How to view the church registers:

Brilliant!  ;D

Many thanks Debra for explaining the IGI format as that now rings a bell to the way I did most of the earlier family tree in the early 2000s and I still have the old printed out papers in IGI format. I couldn't understand why I couldn't find it on FamilySearch, then could find it then lost it again yesterday so it must still be on my records on FamilySearch. Sadly my family tree on FamilySearch is in a mess as other contributors alter and change hence me setting up a new one on Ancestry.com.  Sadly our local library no longer has the microfilm and I had to travel to The Hive at Worcester on our way to a weekend in Wales.
