Misplaced information???????
« on: Friday 11 January 19 12:17 GMT (UK) »
Hi All

I'm certain I've seen my ancestor Robert James Burns on the 1891 census somewhere (possibly Middleton in Teesdale, County Durham) with his step father, George Bott.  But I can no longer find them.  I've done every search I can think of, is anyone able to help?

George was born 1852 in Dalbeattie, Scotland
Robert was born 1873 in Dalbeattie, Scotland, both were settmakers in quarries.

Thanks!

Brown (Northumberland, Cumbria)
Tallentire & variants (Durham)
Phillips (Briton Ferry, Wales)

Moffat (Cumbria)

We had a wonderful time in the area around Middleton in Teesdale in the summer, ancestor hunting and bird watching. It is absolutely beautiful. I was paying £2.65 for a pint of beer compared to nearly £4 at home.
