French Revolution surnames
« on: Saturday 12 January 19 00:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi. Just trying to see if the names Le Gros Bisson and/or De Deauville mean anything to anyone re the French Revolution. I've been told that a family member may be related to a French aristocrat who escaped France at that time and then ended up in France.

Any help would be great

Many thanks

Hi

Thanks for the replies - sorry I haven't answered sooner. I was told that the people in question changed their names from De Deauville to Le Gros Bisson but that could easily have been misinterpreted at some point. I'll keep looking.

Thanks

Paul
