He had a sister Emily Lane who married on 11 Jun 1927 in Bolton, Lancashire, England to Daniel Longworth - I think they had two daughters.

Member of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Thomas W Lane 2nd Bn Loyal North Lancs died on board RMS Samaria , a troopship in WW2.  Age 39 (agrees with CWGC entry).  Death cert could be obtained from GRO (death records are on Findmypast).
