Rubbish Ancestry hints
« on: Saturday 12 January 19 18:35 GMT (UK) »
I know that people have mentioned some of the peculiar suggestions, but can anyone beat someone being divorced 415 years after they were buried?

They really are becoming a joke...

I have spent a whole day checking on someone who the 1939 said born 1946  and were actually born 1916  simple scruffy writing and lack of careful transcribing..

and another lady .. who was flashing pictures of a family member all over the place..  I thought I would check her tree... to see if it was who she said... but decided to leave it alone when I saw her tree 'Sources  ----- consisted of at least 10 different ancestry trees....

it really is a ...... good idea to ignore the hints  or triple triple triple check..

I thought I would peep at the trees that are supposed to relate to my man...

and though they share his name (almost! they have an extra middle name) out of all of them NOT ONE is Actually him... tears now.. frustration, anger and sadness  ::)

I've just found a corker.
I have Andrew Dunlop and Janet Johnstone marrying in East Lothian in 1730
So Janet must have been very special indeed to be able to die in Pennsylvania in 1908   ;D

"Excellent for beginners to expand their tree!"
Well its a horror story for those that upload their mums 1500 person tree and bombarded with
"Found a hint for John Robb"
John Robb?! There is like forty!!
Robb - Angus / Aberdeenshire
McKerchar - Angus / Dumfries?
Shaw - Angus
