Hepzibah that could well be it. There is a small sign on the corner of the house which I can't quite make out, although it might say Old Workhouse, or is that me wishing it did  ;)

I hope that means in a cottage not actually in the meadow?

I have another ancestor who lived "In the cotton factory yard" I was dismayed until I found a sort of tied dwelling set up.

Quite possibly the same "Cottage in fields" where ag. lab. John Boast and his family were living in 1851 (HO 107/1802 folio 750 verso page 27).
