Just for interest - Probate details for Edmond Dunn Bland
of Belmont, Fordham, Cambridgeshire, Gentleman -died 14 March 1915 -Probate George Townsend & William Henry Mills Effects £492.6s 3d

Possibly the George Townsend who married Laura Fyson Bland in 1870 (dtr of William Hill Bland)

His short work biography appears in Gardeners Chronicle 1894 on page 146, this doesn't list any information of marriage birth but list several places where he worked, no mention of Kew Garden, but he did work at Crystal Palace for a while, other places where he worked was on mostly large estates

Just found this not sure it will be of help but in 1894 he was living at, The Limes, Fordham, Near Soham

You say he wasn't Edmund Dunn Bland but he was!   You've been given his baptism and he is with his family in 1841 at Burwell, Cambridgeshire.

He doesn't seem to have used the 'Dunn' part of his name until later life - in 1911 when head of household signed the form themselves he has obviously signed as Edmund Dunn Bland as shown as such in the 1911 free index.

ADDED  I wonder if the name Edmund 'Edwards' Bland on the marriage was an error by the clergy.  Edmund & Edward are often interchangeable and I wonder if he had written it in error.
