I am a MacAusland descendant living in Prince Edward Island, Canada. You may have heard of MacAusland's Woolen Mills, they ship blankets etc. worldwide. Anyway, one of my cousins had his DNA done and it showed a Scottish ancestor with roots in Scotland and in Pennsylvania, USA. My ancestor was Samuel McAuslin, later changed to MacAusland, who came to Prince Edward Island in the early 1820's. Apparently he had brothers, William, John and Archibald and they came to the US from Paisley, Scotland, which I believe is near Glasgow. Just wondering if there are any MacAusland researchers from that area. Thank you for your cooperation.
