Ancestry from a public library

Until I realised I had some unidentified Electoral Roll documents I was doing alright, until I realised that they are undated.

Yes I have the same problem when I am in the library even though I save to a USB stick.  I save the baptism image and forget to make a note of the parish and year, both of which sometimes don't appear on the page.  Even some census pages where the enumerator has not completed any of the fields  on the top of every page.

Thanks John, I'm wearing my STUPID sign.  I didn't think I'd need to retrieve those documents again, until this morning when I was adding them to my database and found they were undated.

Dropbox is cloud storage so that's covered.

What was originally mentioned was the storage specifically available with a GMX mail account, Dropbox is available to anyone.

So is GMX (I have a mail account with them too). It's free, and it includes other utilities such as a calendar, online file storage and cloud-based office programs.

As with most free things, there are adverts (but only on the home page), but as far as I can tell, GMX doesn't read your mail to decide which ones to show you.

GMX servers are located in Germany rather than the USA, which may be an important consideration for some people.

I also, when I get home, rename each file saved so that the title is relevant (to me!)
E.G. Garrad Census 1871 IOM
or    Kevin Garrad Baptism 1870

and so forth

I also take notes at the same time; so I never forget what is what.

I use the link thingy when I am in the library sometimes - depends what kind of mood I am in, but thought I would mention that if you already have a google account you can use google drive. 

You can also access ancestry on your own device ow in the library, so can take your own laptop/tablet and download straight onto there.
