But they do?
It was updated some while back to include newspapers up to 1950.
Lancashire Digital Library lists it as British Library Newspapers 1730 - 1950

I belong to 3 different libraries now - Beds, Herts and MK so don't forget if you border another area you can probably join them too :)

I can get the Times at home, on one or more of the above.  Not found much of use in there for my family, but will take a look later and see what else there is.

I do agree that some of us are luckier than others.
My own library has BNA, findmypast, ancestry
Maximum computer use two hours per day.

Next door borough, nearest library a 15 minute walk from mine, has findmypast and ancestry
Maximum computer use eight hours a day.

I can use my card in either borough!

that is good that you can use card in either!

They are 1 or 2 hours here, but you can use your own device all day and have access to everything

I have checked and I get access to the British library newspapers at home, didn't realise Herts CC had it.  Yay

and have now discovered FindMyPast - you use your own account in the library, so can see the hints
