Why haven't you used the GRO index to look for the maiden name?

It's free.

I can't see the four children all listed with the same mother on the GRO. There is a Dennis who fits, he has a mother maiden name Shay, but I can't see Johanna, Ellen or Hannah with mother Shay.

If you are researching the origins of this couple -

FreeBDM March Q 1871
CRAWLEY    Hannah        Portsea    2b   578
marr. Herbert WATERS

Can you list all the information on the certificate that you have.

The CRAWLEY family that you find in London, 1861 Census, possibly includes a second marriage for Ann and / or John?. Parentage of the children might not be what the Census suggests.

Where are Herbert and Hannah WATERS at 1871 Census?

Hi

I wonder if this Information is correct

John Crawley married Julia she's shay ) she was dennis's mother ??

Julia died 1850

John remarried Ann nutley 1850

She is possibly Ellen, Joanna's, and Hannah's mother ??
