Things are not adding up - where do you get 'Julia' and 'Norah' from?

At the moment we don't know if the Denis 1844 Pancras birth is 'yours' plus the other 3 children were definitely not born in St. Pancras (or else births not registered).

GRO birth   Saint Pancras  DecQ 1848  Vol1 / Pg309
CROWLEY Johannah   mmn SHAY

Search for CRAWLEY / CROWLEY / SHAY / SHEA

The younger girls Ellen and Hannah are possibly born to mother Ann and a (so far) unidentified father.

Ann's association with John CRAWLEY, marriage or otherwise, could date from just before the 1861 census. Daughters often use the family name of mothers partner  ie CRAWLEY.

Who are Julia, Norah and NUTLEY?  If you find something promising can you been specific with the source please.

Hannah Crawley is not the daughter of John and Ann - her father is not named John!

Marriage 11/1/1871 St. John's Cathedral, Portsmouth - Herbert Waters of Clarence Barracks, father Francis Mercer (?), and Hannah Crawley of Portsea, father Michaelis (i.e. Michael).

Need to be looking for a Hannah, dau. of a Michael!

Thanks Annette.
Where did John come from I wonder  ???

Here are the family in 1891 1324/56 living in West Ham. Hannah’s birthplace is not helpful.

Herbert Waters   49 yrs
Hannah Waters   41 yrs b Portsmouth
William Waters   15 yrs
Sophy Waters 5 yrs
Lillian Waters 3 yrs

There is a likely death for her in 1895.
