Interesting find, hallmark. Oranges- note that probate granted in 1916 which is 11 years after Anne's death.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I noticed that, it seems wrong to me they had to wait or is that normal, might have been a lot of money in those days!

Notice that it is Administration rather than probate of a Will. Only £30 or so (not a huge amount) but if there was no Will to probate and family were content to let things remain then there was really no hurry.

What you probably need to do now is go through all possible civil records (I search sl*v*n to try and catch as many spelling variations as possible) then all the online church records.

Great thanks, no not a lot for a life of hardship, I also note none of them could write! Hard times, I will get round to search what you suggest, would I be likely to find John O'Donnell in records?
