Welcome to Rootschat

Have you looked for his birth on Scotlands People?  You can download a copy of his birth cert.  alternatively - if he married or died in Scotland his marriage/death cert will have his parents details including his mothers maiden name

Please provide details of any census you have found him on.

No such birth listed anywhere in Scotland under either surname.

What other information do you have about him?   Can't find this combination of names anywhere.

Where does Robert fit in your Family tree?  You don't know his parents/wife etc so are you descended from one of his children?

If so - please give details of the child - name - birthplace - birthyear

Is the 1911 the only census you have him on as you originally gave his birthyear as 1862.

1901/1911 shows surname as Keer as do children's births.  His death was registered as Keer so I think we have to assume that's how it was spelt unless you have other documents that show a different spelling

This is the 1901 entry

Robert Keer    40 bricklayer b Lambeth
Rachel  31 b Brell -  Bucks
Nelly Keer    2 b Lambeth. Still Nellie in 1911
Janey Keer 11mths b Aylesbury - Mary in 1911

1891 - both girls are servants in Aylesbury

Rachel Bunyan 16 b Brill Bucks
Sophia A Bunyan 23 b Ham Green Bucks
