Baptism in Doncaster
« on: Thursday 17 January 19 18:48 GMT (UK) »
Hi I wondered if someone would mind looking up a baptism for me in Doncaster. Its for Oct 1820 and the name is Henry Crosbie. I'm hoping it may have some extra info on it as I only have the index.
Thanks

Occupation for James Crosbie is Labourer - transcript from Doncaster FHS on FindMyPast

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Great. His family must have come into money somewhere as his descendants were described as Gents after they moved to London. They also owned Orell House in Seacombe quite a step up from Labourer lol Thanks Gaynori

BT's for Doncaster state - 15 September 1805 - James Crosby of Bridlington and Amelia Egley otp by Licence.

Licence dated 14 September (transcription only) states that James is H M Forces aged 22 and Amelia Elgy (stet) aged 23.

ADDED:  BT's is the image of the page, not just a transcription.  :)
