Ancestry and other pages slow to load

What has changed - or have I changed something? The following has started to happen in the last 3-4 days on my recently purchased replacement PC.

When I click on View All DNA Matches the next page which shows results has the rotating load symbol - and the page doesn't proceed to populate with the schematic of trees etc. and open.

When I click on a match and go to next page,  the rotating load symbol appears again - next to Evaluating family tree information...

I can access everything else from the Ancestry drop down menu, Home, Trees, Search, email, Profile etc. Some longer emails have been taking a while to load too. I have windows 10 and use Firefox.

It might be a browser problem. 

What browser are you using? I think Firefox and Chrome are the recommended ones by Ancestry.

My laptop has been running slowly for a couple of weeks now.  It doesn't matter which website I go to they all take ages to open and I use Firefox.

Sounds like one of those 'clear the cache/history' or corrupt update thingies, Lizzie.

Is it just your laptop or do you have problems with other machines?

Just forgotten - are you both on latest Win10? 

My old Win7 laptop is slow but not significantly so.

I find Firefox gets slow when there is an outstanding update?

Try ending all instances of Firefox, and then start Firefox again.

I have just checked my laptop which I haven't used for several days and it has the same issue as my PC  - but it's fine on spouse's old iPad.  ???

Perhaps it is a Win10/Firefox issue. I am none the wiser though....

Very odd as I'm using a Win 10 laptop and Firefox (latest -64.0.2) at the moment and no issues. I'm in one of the weakest spots in the house for my WiFi and it's still running fine.
