Fanny Creech born 14 July 1857
« on: Saturday 19 January 19 04:23 GMT (UK) »
Greetings I am trying to find a record of my great grandmother's death.

14 July 1857 Fanny Creech was born at 8 Elizabeth St, St Barnabas, Lancashire
28 November 1880 Fanny Creech married to Thomas Walmsley

In the 1911 UK Census there is a Frances Walmsley widow at 41 Grey Street (same residence as 1901 census - name Fanny Walmsley)

Wrong record - 22 May 1924 death of Francis Walmsley (1924 June Prestwich 08D 548 - recorded as male and E Walmsley his widow was present at his death.

Any ideas of how to find the record of her death?

Maybe a coincidence - I think her daughter Annie Walmsley married Albert Dooley in 1912 in Manchester - address in listed as 41 Gray St and father Thomas (deceased)   The marriage is on Anc

I think you are absolutely right, Kay!
I could not find anything in the old papers to support your theory, but then I found this!

This is from https://www.burialrecords.manchester.gov.uk/GenSearch.aspx

Apparently you can get more info if you are a registered user (which I am not)

Well found  bbart  ;D   It looks like a good connection

Albert and Annie Dooley appear to have had a number of children that died as babies including William b 1914, Annie b 1915, Lilian 1919 and Dorothy b 1924 which might be some of the Dooley's mentioned

Now that I know the cemetery name, I found most of these on Findagrave, (no photos) and there are a LOT of Walmsley's in there, but not the right Thomas.... perhaps his grave marker didn't survive.  However, it gives TrevorW a lot to work with!

Henry Stringer (in the same grave as Fanny) was just 2 years old.  I haven't found any relationship yet, but the toddler Leonard Aldcroft has a mother's maiden name of Walmsley.
