« on: Saturday 19 January 19 18:53 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I am wondering if anyone can find any documentation for William Hayward-Information from my Great Great Grandmother: BIRTH 4 APR 1820 Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, DEATH ABT 1844 and Eliza Rowley-Information from my Great Great Grandmother: BIRTH Wellington, Shropshire, DEATH 6 JUL 1852 Berry Street, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. Other than the 1841 census, which I cannot read occupation, I have been unable to find anything. Thanks so much for any help! My Great Grandmother is Sarah Jane (Hayward) Jordan BIRTH 30 DEC 1840 Wolverhampton East, Staffordshire, DEATH 31 MAR 1937 Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA and her only known sibling is Mary Ann (Hayward) Dew BIRTH 24 MAY 1842 Princess Alley, Wolverhampton East, Staffordshire, DEATH 1 MAY 1866. My mother has a written document that states her Great Grandmother said if she had stayed in England she would have been a lady, whatever that means.

Do you have the birth cert for Sarah Jane HAYWARD?
I do not see a Hayward Rowley birth (but not all births were registered in the early period so that May not mean much)

Would you please post the 1841 census reference number so that we can look it up. . See reply #3

The only Sarah Hayward in Staffordshire I can see with a father William is in Wolverhampton age 3 and has a mother Catherine both parents age 25 so age between 29 and 25 so b between 1812 & 1816, approximately.  HO107/985/7/52/23

So this is the 1841?

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MQT4-W3F?from=lynx1UIV8&treeref=K2W1-QTG

The occupation you cannot read is do, or ditto. Ie the same as the occupation of Elizabeth GRANT,  Hawker.

If this is her in 1910 she says her father was Scot and spoke Gaelic
Similarly in 1930 says father is Scottish.

Arrival in USA said to be 1888 which fits with the shipping list as per Family Search tree where her occupation is listed as “Lady” so that’s where that rumour comes from.

Entry above is Mrs Eliza Walker age 57
And below, Miss Eliza JORDAN age 4. B Wolverhampton.  Is this her birth reg?
