Abraham MOELLER - (previously known as Abraham Wellington MOELLER - brother of Arthur MOELLER :  Referred to in Sydney trial of 1913. )

In an application for Letters of Adminstration to be granted in the estate of Abraham MOELLER (aka Robert MOELLER) who died in New Zealand in 1941, his sisters Rae ARNDT and Rebecca HERMAN (the joint applicants) refer to their other brother - Arthur MOELLER - who was last heard of in 1917 when serving in the Australian Forces and who was last seen by them in Wellington, NZ, about 36 years ago (c. 1906).     [See Images 274-275 - points 4 and 5 for statement by sisters. ]

I'd say this is fairly conclusive proof that the Arthur MOELLER referred to in this document is the (Australian) solider of same name who at the time of his enlistment (1915) gave his next-of-kin as his wife, Mrs Lucy MOELLER of Randwick.  [And that that Lucy MOELLER is the same lady (Lucy HONNOR) who married Aaron M. MOELLER at Sydney in 1911. ]   If not, I'll eat my hat !

Thank you all once again for your superb research. It seems that Aaron/Arthur led a very complicated life prior to joining the AIF, presumably Lucy must have had to 'put up' with his criminal activity as well!
