Catholic Chapel, Pilgrim St, Newcastle 1861
« on: Sunday 20 January 19 10:56 GMT (UK) »
I 'should' know this and probably did at one time, but the info seems to have dropped out of my head to make way for recent stuff.

Can some kind soul tell me which church this was? I've had the civil marriage cert and a scan of the church register for about 8 years now but have somehow failed to note the dedication :-(

Thanks

Boo

Thanks Stan, that explains it.
I was struggling because I used to catch the (second of the journey) bus home from school at the bus station in Worswick St, opposite St Andrew's and though Worswick St is off Pilgrim St the church wasn't actually 'on' Pilgrim St.

Hi
I just noticed your post about the Catholic Chapel My Great Grandparents were married there in 1864 Fr Worswick built the chapel in his back garden as there was no Catholic church and he got the street named after him Worswick Street.
