John & Honora Horsman
« on: Sunday 20 January 19 15:27 GMT (UK) »
John Horsman died in Scotland in 1887, having married for a second time in Scotland in 1870.
On both his marriage and death certificates, his parents were named, as John Horsman (a Grain Miller) and Honora. The writing is not good and her surname could be Caanadh or Cavanah.
The 1851 census tells that John (junior) was born in about 1798 in Galway,  and Rootsireland gives his first marriage to a Frances Phillips on 1 Jan 1816 at Aughrim, Co Galway.
John (junior's) occupation was Excise Officer / Inland Revenue Officer.

If anyone can help to identify where John was born,  or where his parents married I would love to know.

Thanks

Sue Horsman
