Why do you think Eileen nee McMenamin Murphy was in Canada ?  Have you found the family on any passenger list ? Was the daughter born in Ireland or Canada ?

For reference-
Birth of Ellen McMenamin- parents Daniel McMenamin & Ellen Campbell-

McMenamin family in 1901-

Could Ellen & her family have gone to Canada by 1911?

A Charles Murphy born 1884 Kildrum- parents Owen Murphy & Sarah Campbell-
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1884/02702/1995109.pdf
Murphy family in 1901-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Tyrone/Dromore/Kildrum/1741566
If this is the same household in 1911 then ages are off and father Owen has died-

Have you tried looking for Charles & Ellen in 1921 Canadian census?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Sandra,

Ellen/Eileen McMenamin was my grandmothers sister.  I know the family were in Canada.  Charles came home to Dromore Co Tyrone in the 1960's on holiday and unfortunately died at home  We  have lost touch with Eileen down the years.

Aghadowey,

This is Ellen and Charles alright.  I don't know what year they went to Canada and don't know very much about the Canadian census but will have a look there,

JM

Can you tell us where the last known Canadian location for any family members was?

Do you have an Irish obituary for Charles Murphy, who died while visiting Ireland in the 1960s??  An obit might say where he and Eileen were living in Canada.

Chas Murphy, born Dromore, age 40, electrician departed 01 Feb 1930 Belfast on the Montcalm with a destination of Montreal.  The arrival documents for this ship indicate he had been in Canada from 1910 to 1929.  Gave Patrick Murphy Keldrum, Dromore as his nearest British contact.
On the Duchess of Bedford arriving 26 June 1931 was Ellen McMenamin, either 25 or 35, born Dromore, fiancé to Charles Murphy of 265 Riele Ave. Verdun Quebec.  She gave her uncle Patrick McMenamin as her nearest British contact.  Marriage should then have taken place in Quebec.
