The rolled style is very Edwardian and would be the older girls,I think it was called” putting your hair up “and marked a stage in life.
Probably 18 or so.
The others look younger.
Most probably a Roman Catholic convent school but can’t think why such young children would be there .
Viktoria.
Because of the hairstyles I found it hard to distinguish young teachers from senior pupils. I thought a girl didn't put her hair up until she left school. Perhaps the custom had changed by that time. Some of the young women may have been pupil-teachers (teachers in training).
The younger children would have been at the lower school or prep-school. My convent school had a preparatory department. Boys under age 8 were admitted but it was all girls by mid 20thC. One of those little boys looks like he's strayed from another photograph of a school in a working-class area.
I'd like to know more about the school.

I would say mid-late Edwardian. I would like to know what the writing says on the bottom right border of the photo.
Carol

I am wondering if it is pointing to the girl in the front row, second from the right. Possibly her name, or part of.

Thinking the same thing AC - maybe Kathe - she seems to be the odd one out dress-wise doesn't she?

That was one of the things that drew my attention to her, the different dress.

Could she be a ring in, a daughter or sister, but not of the school?

I meant the pencil writing at the far right of the border at the bottom not either of the biro marks. it would be good to hear from the poster.
