Have you looked on the Free BMD index for this marriage?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Has the female Jarrett been married before?

Thanks for your replies
Have looked on FBMD but no record of a marriage  I haven't been told that the birth mother had been married before but certainly know that her adoptive mother had been
Not sure how much I can post on here as lady in question is still alive  I have her adoptive parents full names and previous marriage and names of children/step-siblings  I can personal message these if it helps, as am now hitting a brick wall

Have you applied for the original birth certificate for full parents' names?

Are you sure of the area, or just guessing?

Not guessing about the area where she was born as the lady in question said she was born in Willesden BUT as we all know sometimes information gets distorted over the years, so haven't ruled this out
Will check the birth certificate but fairly sure the info I have is correct
Thanks again

Hi xs

Parents may not have been married. The birth you mention in Willsden is the only one showing anywhere to parents with those surnames.

The birth cert is certainly your next step...

How many sources do you have that validate the mother's maiden name as Jarrett?

Is it just one source - i.e. the birth registration or are there other sources that cross-reference to Jarrett?
