Hi lavender blue

*  Are you able to give "years of birth" for the brothers and sister, Minnie ?   Any additional information you have, may be helpful.   [Our NZ BDM indexes carry only minimal details and we need to refer to other resources quite often.]

"William Arthur and Walter Alexander" DAVIS / DAVIES aren't exactly "jumping" out in my searching .. it's possible though they didn't use their second forenames.

*  Can you advise please more precisely, what other information are you seeking ?
[Will endeavour to look further for Charles' wife and daughter. ]

Hi again lavender blue

It occurred to me after reading your questions again, that you may also want some history/pictures etc. of the places your people lived and worked in.

From the NZ electoral rolls >  Charles Richard DAVIES dates from 1911 > I found that he worked firstly at Blackball  ... and by 1914 was at Rewanui.   Both places have fairly well-documented histories ... but I'll start with this link to Rewanui >>

https://westcoast.recollect.co.nz/nodes/view/660rles

Incidentally, Charles R. DAVIES was employed as an "overseer".

Our PapersPast (historical newspapers) website has a number of items and photos re:  Rewanui.

There's a lot more if you search the newspapers.

Also, try Youtube.   In the search box at that site, type in "Rewanui".  It returns a number of results - several short videos captured by a mountain biker with a helmet-mounted camera takes you over the territory with it's unique and somewhat unspoiled landscape.

And two other [Rewanui] videos at youtube I'd recommend - "West Coast and Nelson Scenes" (passes the Rewanui Mine") and "Rewanui Branch Railway".
These though are "sunshine and roses" style views - of course it was rather bleak in the old days of coal-mining there.

Sister Minnie Isobel Davis no E in Davis born 1883, had child Pearl 1905 unmarried mother, went

Someone doing research found this, but I cannot find Minnie going to N Z after child born 1905/1906

There is this marriage entry to add into the mix
1907/6317   Martha   Reid   Walter Alexander   Davis

and these births to that couple
1908/14221   Davis   Douglas James   Martha   Walter Alexander
1914/17151   Davis   Colin Victor   Martha   Walter Alexander-
1918/782         Davis          Nola Campbell   Martha   Walter Alexander

BUT there is another Walter Alexander Davis born 1876 to parents William and Christina and these entries could relate to him.

Are any of the chidrens' names above family ones OP?

OP just checking that you do not have a date/place of death for these two brothers.

I ask as there is a Walter Alexander Davis who died in Tasmania in 1923 aged 41. Had wife and two living children.

Also an Arthur William Davis with children born in Tasmania 1900, 1901 & 1904. One has Alexander as a middle name. Alexander is one of the names of  the father of a William Arthur Davis (richard Walter Alexander Davis and wife is Elizabeth Adams Davis.  William Arthur Davis is buried at the old Pioneer cemetery at Stanley in Tasmania afyer dying in 1939.

Please let us know if you have dates and are seeking 'colour' around their time in NZ

Checked this previously.  Wrong person.    The Walter Alexander DAVIS mentioned above, (they are one and the same), was New Zealand-born.
[Appears to have been the son of Christina (aka Christina Pillance Campbell - maiden name unknown) and William (aka William Robert ) DAVIS.  His birth was registered 3rd quarter, 1876 at Patea, Taranaki province.    In 1905-06 worked as a platelayer (railways),  resident at Waverley (Taranaki).  Died at Paekakariki, (Kapiti district) cremated at Wellington July 1952 (aged 75).  Births of two of his children with Martha - 1908 and 1914, also registered Taranaki district.   An application for Letters of Administration in the estate of Walter Alexander DAVIS, (1952) did not confirm his birthplace.  ]
