Electoral register in 1920 shows
5 Emma Terrace, Sculcoates
KERWIN, Christiana
9 Emma Terrace
KERWIN, Thomas Edward
KERWIN, Leonora
In 1926 no 5 has Christiana and William KERWIN
Thomas Edward and Leonora still at no. 9
In 1931 no. 5 has William and Annie KERWIN
no. 9 has Thomas Edward and Edward KERWIN

I don’t know whether he is in your family but I came across a newspaper report on 1 Nov 1944 that a Private Edward Thomas KERWIN (26), Airborne, 33 Gretton Road Liverpool 14 was reported missing at Arnhem on 1 Nov 1944. He was an old boy of Holy Cross School, Hunter Street so maybe a different family.
