William Boaden or Boden

Hi I am trying to find the parents of William Boaden or Boden borne 1766 South Molton Devon
He married Judith Hole born 1772 their marriage took place 26 Dec 1807 Clifton Bristol Glos.
We are also looking for the husband of Sophia Williams who married a man surname Boaden
We know she was married before to Frederick John Williams who was a banker in Bristol

Where do you find Williams place of birth

It was on a 1841 Census but it may not be correct
It’s been very difficult going back on these records so maybe some are missing

The 1841 does not give place of birth.  The Y/N refers to born in County so if he was living in South Molton it just confirms he was born in Devon.

If he is the William who was in Chulmleigh in 1841 and still there in 1851 his place of birth is given as
Warkleigh, Devon (age 82)

William son of John & Mary Bowden privately baptised February 19th. recd March 20th

His wife Judith is living with eldest son 1841 (and 1851) so would suggest that William had already died by 1841.

I agree that William was likely deceased by 1841.

You did well Rosie to find them in 1841 Census, Anc has her as Judith Boadew 1776 !

A Tree has William buried 17 Aug 1821 • Holy Trinity, Frome, Somerset

This record does exist and its on FreeREG and his age is 55 (1766) but how to prove it is him is difficult.

Although the "fly in the ointment" is Losia Boaden age 34 (1827) in the 1851 Census with George, his Sister.

George married Elizabeth WARN Reg Sept 1838  Bristol 11 241

Louisa married James POOLE 08 May 1865, St. Paul, Bedminster, Somerset, and names her Father as William, she was age 43 (1822) on it.

I cant find a Bapt for her
