Thanks again.
I think it all mainly makes sense except that one on line 4.

It suggests he is harbouring Mr Wales from assigned servitude?
And then what penalty.

I read it that he is harbouring Wales to keep Wales from being apprehended by Ross.

It's always worth searching the newspapers (in Trove) for the names and places.  If you are lucky you can find out more about who these people were, even if you don't find records of your man's case.

There isn't a penalty for this one, suggesting he was charged but then discharged.  You would have to check other records (most likely for the Police Court) to find out more.

Looking again at the fourth line, I don't think that word is from.

The second letter is an e, making ?em.

Can post post his name and the reference for his CON record?

I would like to see more of the top handwriting.  (I don't have time now but can do it later.)

I trimmed down the original image because it was over 500k, but can get a link to the original record. The Tasmanian archives seem to be timing out at the moment, but I will grab them when they are (only the links to images seem to be playing up) the search function is working.

And yeah the convict is as per Majm has noted

I see it as 'harbouring Mr Wales fem assd serv'. So having a bit of a tryst with Mr Wales convict maid?
Which kinda makes more sense ;)

Oh I think you have nailed it!!!

His wife also has a record from that day that I had not yet been able to work through deciphering (I will post that later today or tomorrow as I need some help with that also) that seems to indicate that she and Solomon harboured an Ellen Allen who was an Assigned Servant of Mr R Wales.

I have not looked up Ellen Allen yet and I could have the name wrong, but it is a corresponding record from the same day. That is absolutely brilliant that you picked up the Female Assigned Servant part.

Thank you all again so very much!
