Marriage lookup request - Ipswich St Matthew / 16 Jun 1811
« on: Saturday 26 January 19 12:24 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

Does anyone have an original scan of the parish register for the marriage of James Smyth and Sarah Harriet Skitter on 16 June 1811?

I'm looking for any potential information not on the digital transcription, like ages, jobs, parents, witnesses etc.

Many thanks!

Thanks! That's quite interesting, since I read an old newspaper article saying she died on 4th Feb 1845, but in London. Must be the same one?

I might go ahead and order that certificate.

This doesn't show her age, but I think proves it's the right one in the BMD database. I can't read most of this, but I'm sure it says on Line 3/4 - "James Smyth of Ipswich in the County of Suffolk Gentleman and Late Husband bid by this will"

Sarah was baptised at Boxford, Suffolk not Boxham.

James Smyth aged 63 buried 16/10/1843 St. Matthew, Ipswich.

James and Sarah Harriet listed as Smith in 1841 at St. Matthew, Ipswich - James shown as Accountant.   Both shown as born in Suffolk.
