Harlow Parish records
« on: Saturday 26 January 19 18:03 GMT (UK) »
I have family that is from Harlow, I have several pages of the parish registers from Essex CC, but I have not got any for Ann Tucker b 1796 I think, I am not sure if this was because they weren't any, or I missed them.

I have also use free reg and can see most other records are ob there but none for Ann Tucker.  I can't decide whether to pay for more records from ECC as I think maybe they are just not there.

Does anyone know if Freereg is complete for Harlow? St Mary & St Hugh?

I am trying to confirm her parents, I have her marriage to James Brett.

The records digitized for Harlow 1755-1815 is not the original register the vicar has copied them from another register. They are grouped by family not as individual entries.
Are the parents possibly Henry and Ann Tucker if so he could have missed her original baptism

Mary 1787
George 1792
William 1793
Lewis 1796
Frederick 1799
Maria 1809
David 1805
As you can see Maria and David are in the wrong order as they were rewritten in this book which lead to my thinking he could have missed her.

email the ERO and find out if they have the original register or only this one.
They do have the Bishops transcripts but notated many gaps in years.

I think he must have too.  Everything else seems to fit, thank you good to hear a second opinion.

The original register was lost in a fire I think.
