I wonder if anyone can shed any light on Matilda Constable died 31 March 1922 Kingston upon Thames, her relationship with the Wheeler family and a William Wheeler born 16 feb 1845 in particular?

Should I be assuming that the William Wheeler you refer to is William Charles Wheeler born in 1845 Kingston upon Thames.  His birth registration gives his mothers maiden surname as Constable.

Census indicate his parents as William G Wheeler and Matilda.  William G Wheeler married Matilda Constable

Matildas father was John Constable occ Shoemaker. 
She was baptised in Kingston, her parents were John occ Cordwainer & Susanna.

In 1851 Susan is staying in Godalming with Eliza - Susan age 75 occ Cordwainer and Eliza born Kingston.  They are in the household of Elizabeth Stafford.

John Constable married Susannah Batchelor in Godalming, Surrey 6th September 1798.  Witness was Elizabeth Batchelor.  Elizabeth Batchelor married William Stafford in Godalming in 1802

Matilda who died in 1922 was the daughter of Thomas Constable.  Thomas was born in Wandsworth c1818 according to the 1851 census.  Witnesses to his marriage were Harriet & Mary Constable.
