Quick Question
« on: Monday 28 January 19 15:52 GMT (UK) »
Just a quick question, I'm checking on a marriage of George James and Hannah Healey in 1857 in Stoke on Trent. Whilst viewing the image under "Staffordshire marriages" on FindMyPast, both parents names are missing. Is the image the actual birth cert or will the actual document from the GRO have more information. Richard
James, Jinks - Stoke On Trent,  Richards, Rees, Morgans - Llandilofawr, Llangadock, Wilding- Hereford, Underwood, Sitch, Thorne, Day all West Ham, and Leytonstone. .

Hi

The image is the one from the parish register, which would be the same as that from the GRO (C of E Marriage). It looks as if they didn't know or didn't give their fathers's names.

Have you looked for birth/baptism or census records for them that might help?

Thank you for your quick reply, yes, I'm working my way through them, slightly confusing though and wanted evidence that I was on the correct track.
