MASON/MEATS/SEEDS Muggington, Derbyshire farming in Herefordshire
« on: Wednesday 30 January 19 01:10 GMT (UK) »
Hi there, I'm currently doing my family tree and have traced it through the Mason's to Wellington in Herefordshire. I've got up past a Joshua Mason (1757-1797) and Hannah Mason (Meats) (1760-1828) who are buried in St Margaret's and the stone is visible. From what I have researched it seems as though they were cousins.

Joshua Mason (1757-1797) parents were
- Joshua Mason (1732 - 1814) bapt at All Saints Church, Muggington, Derby 15th Oct 1732
- Susanna Hakesley married 1st Aug 1757 at Muggington

His siblings (children of Joshua and Susanna Mason)
- Thomas Mason (married ELIZABETH PAGE 29th Jan 1761 at St Mary's , Bitterley Shropshire ( they had 3 children Ann , Thomas & William all bapt at Bitterley)
- Elizabeth Mason (baptised 11th Nov 1734 Muggington , married WILLIAM MEATS (cousin, Wellington Herefordshire)
- John Mason (baptised 7th Oct 1736, Muggington)
- Isaac Mason (baptised 7th April 1739 then buried 9th April 1739 , both at Muggington)
- Samuel Mason (baptised 7th May 1741 at Muggington)

Their parents were a Joshua Mason (of Mercaston, b? d.1756 Muggington) and Ann Seeds
Ann also had a daughter before her marriage with Joshua - Hannah Seeds (baptised 3rd December 1727 at Muggington)
Really wanting to explore William Meats (1735 -1814) line
as well as Joshua Mason x Ann Seeds line

I was wondering if anyone else was looking into these two families or if you had any tips or advice would be great, thank you! Someone I was in contact with said it seemed they worked farming in Herefordshire but would go back to Derbyshire for births, marriages and burials.
Thanks for rfeading
