I have no idea about what was or is a "hotel timekeeper", do you?
I think it was someone who kept track of hours staff worked and dealt with payrolls, that sort of thing.

May be in an important hotel, in London?

I tried to find the marriage on freebmd, using different ways, and got no answer except Jeanne Gabrielle Chevreau . They probably married in France.

But they did not marry in Paris, I checked.
Do you have any other hints, name of a brother or sister, area where one of them lived ?
Did they die in England?

Strangely enough, I can't find them in 1911 Census.

I have found the marriage of a George G Chevrot to Hendrika T Schoof Lambeth RD 3rd quarter 1919.
Could this be a remarriage after the death of Marie Margueritte in 1912 ?
No help for going back however I'm afraid even if by any chance it is your Georges Chevreau.

Ah, their name was transcribed incorrectly from the census. On the census is says 'Cheverean'.  I don't know any brothers or sisters names unfortunately.  Marie died in 1912 in childbirth - I managed to get a death certificate for her but not George.

Thanks - I'll take that into consideration - I guess it's possible he re-married.

Familysearch source :
The name was transcribed Cheverean and Chevrean for the children , Marie Dupny was mistranscribed too. I can't believe I did not think so. Many people write  U and N in the same way .
Dupny is clearly DUPUY.
George the eldest son was born in England, was 14 in 1911. (Can't see in FS they were married for 18 years).
But strangely enough, there were/are some CHEVREAN and DUPNY in England. Search FreeBMD.
